LANDMARK WITH EXCEPTIONAL LEGACY
The authentic look of the BIGZ building, with its powerful beauty and industrial appearance, is what makes it one of the most famous architectural achievements of Yugoslav modern architecture. A masterpiece project of the famous Serbian architect Dragisa Brasovan, it was built as a building of the State Printing House in 1937 in the shape of the Cyrillic letter P, resembling a printing machine.
The architect's forward thinking, brave, and innovative approach with the BIGZ building determined the direction of Serbian architecture. Its value is best represented by the fact that even after seven decades, it captures undiminished attention of the scientific and professional public, as well as fans of modern architecture.
